Pole Dance Lessons- Pole Fitness
About
Hi my lovely future pole students!
My name is Dominika and I'm from Poland. I started training pole sport 7 years ago. I got very lucky because my first teacher was Agata Jarzebowska, the actual World Pole Sport Champion (watch her performances on YouTube, she's incredibly amazing!). Of course, I fell in love with this sport- it's the art of calisthenics and dance together.
At my first pole class I felt like a gorilla on a tree 😝, was not able to climb a pole even once. But at the next lesson I managed to do it! And the following trainings were building my strength pretty quickly. I noticed my body is changing, getting muscular and shredded(She Halk's shoulders, six pack, etc.😀lol). Lifting your own body weight activates different muscles than the ones you use for the bars at the gym. After 2 years of training I started taking part in some amateur competitions and shows. Then I moved to Kentucky (fell in love and got married to an American) and keep training here. I got my IPSFA PolePro Instructor Certificate in 2017. In June 2018 I had my first big pole sport competition- Southern Pole Championship in Atlanta which went well and motivated me even more for work. I love teaching and sharing my experience, I must admit- I'm demanding and tend to be focused on the conditioning, strength exercises - then you can learn how to do more and more complicated and difficult pole figures. If you don't do any sports now and you also think you're not flexible at all, don't worry- I know many girls that started from zero and then became great competitors/pole dancers. This sport is a mixture of strength and flexibility.
I'm trying to break the stereotype- whenever I say I do pole sport people smile and imagine I'm a stripper. The truth is- the strippers dance BY the pole and take their clothes off. The pole dancers are ON the pole doing acrobatics and trust me- it a really hard workout. The reason why you are in a sport bra and shorts is- you need to be attached to the pole with your skin, you basically hang on it. It's not a striptease, it's just because you need to have a grip.
If this long lecture didn't make you bored and you would like to try some pole acrobatics- let me know! If you wanna:
- loose weight
- get more muscle definition and get your body ready for the summer in bikini👙☀️🌊
- start being more self- confident
-have fun breaking your fears and body limits (the ones that are mainly your mental limits)
- do something for yourself- I know... kids, work, everyday duties, fastfoods, you keep rushing, but- where's the time for you, Lady?
-if you are short/tall, skinny/chubby... doesn't matter
you definitely need to try. It's a sport for everybody!
