About
I've worked in the acting/casting industry for over 10 years and specialize in on-camera acting and audition coaching/taping. With my clients, it's all about finding what makes you unique and using those special qualities to make you stand out from the crowd.
I love helping actors find themselves in each role and find comfort in front of the camera. Most actors don't realize that acting and auditioning are 2 different skills. Once you "get" the audition process, it can be so much more enjoyable and productive.
As a casting director, I bring knowledge from casting side of the industry that enhances an actor's understanding of the full process - giving them more insights into how to stand out and make the right impression on CDs, agents, directors, and managers.

How did you get started teaching?
I spent 10 years working at a top talent agency in the region, taping auditions. It changed the way I auditioned (I'm an actor too!) because I got to experience the casting process from beginning to end. That knowledge led to assisting castings and coaching auditions. After a few years of coaching on the side, I was able to open The Audition Room as a resource for actors to strengthen their on-camera skills and sharpen their career focus.
What types of students have you worked with?
*Professional working actors love the coaching/taping services offered
*Actors transitioning from stage to screen benefit from consultations and on-camera classes/coaching
*Students prepping for arts school auditions get help on all aspects of the process
*On-Camera actors who feel "stuck" at a certain level and need help reworking their pitch packages
*Anyone brand new to the industry who needs a teacher who can also guide them through current industry standards
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We just wrapped up a Cold Reading course, to help sharpen actors' audition skills. I'm always blown away by the progression of confidence from Week 1 to Week 4. Actors start out anxious and hesitant but quickly find comfort in the audition process, even if they've only had 5 minutes to prep.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you're looking for an on-camera coach, make sure you find someone who knows the ins and outs of our market and is also connected to the trends and needs of the larger markets. A good on-camera coach needs to be able to produce quality self-tapes for you when you get an audition. Professional equiptment and a background in casting are ideal.
