I teach tap, ballet and jazz to students ages 3 - adult. During each class I incorporate character education lessons such as respecting yourself, respecting others and respecting your community. I build confidence and grace in ALL students as well as teach them how to deal will common struggles they might encounter such as peer pressure, bullying, loving themselves and embracing everything about themselves.
I have taught dance for 25 years and owned my own studio for 20 of those years. My studio doesn't focus on expensive costumes, competitions and extravagant recitals but bringing our joy of dance to others in nursing homes and hospitals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I introduce myself to the student and talk with them to determine their strengths and where they would fit best in my program. I make sure all students are comfortable with me prior to teaching them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took dance for 18 years and studied ballet at the Louisville Ballet. I am a 3rd grade classroom teacher and have taught for 21 years.
