About

Music is my biggest passion. I have played many instruments: guitar, drums, bass, piano, ukulele, alto saxophone, bari saxophone, trumpet, French horn, flute, oud, and I just recently picked up mandolin. I attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, and it has made my love for music grow more than I thought it could. I love music more than anything, and I've always been eager to learn more about it. If my students feel the same way, that's great - but even if that's not the case, I always try to help them feel excited about it. I am very outgoing and friendly, and most of my lessons are based off of the students' interests because I want to make it as enjoyable as possible. I believe that the most efficient way for students to get better at something if they truly enjoy it and want to put their heart into it. Even if things get difficult, the one thing I want my students to take away from my lessons is the drive to learn and explore new things, whether it comes to music or anything else they want to pursue.

I remember how exciting it was when I first learned how to play music and how inspired I felt, so I love seeing that same energy in the people I teach. I enjoy meeting new people, seeing how interested they are in learning music, and especially watching them improve as musicians. Most importantly, I enjoying seeing them have fun with music :)

Frequently asked questions

In the first lesson, I usually like to spend time getting to know the student. I also typically ask the student to give me some of their favorite artists or songs, and I go over very basic concepts of music theory or exercises/techniques on their instrument if they are not familiar with it yet. I encourage them to talk to me about anything they want to and to be open because I want them to feel that my lessons are not only helpful, but also a comfortable space.

One of my best friends, Julian Morris, is one of the most talented people I know. We both loved playing music together so much in high school. I met his father, Tracy Morris, who owns the Morris Music Academy in Jax Beach. In 2019, he offered me a job as a teacher at his school, where I taught bass and piano for that summer. It was a great summer job, and I had a lot of fun teaching! Since then, I also gave guitar lessons to some friends in high school, and when the pandemic hit, I taught a few lessons with people on Zoom.

I have worked with students between the ages 5-19, mostly from FL, but I am willing to work with students of any age from anywhere.
