Christine J. says, "I'm so happy to have found Union Lesson Studios. I was looking for drum and voice lessons close to my house with availability on weekends. I was also hoping to find a place that would have a kit I could practice on, but I thought that such a place probably wouldn't exist. ULS has not only provided me with two outstanding Berklee School of Music grads for instructors (Ajda and Max), they also charge me a discounted rate for taking two lessons, and allow me to book time with their drum set at $15/hr. I can feel my skills progressing week to week thanks to Ajda and Max's patient and expert instruction and am so happy to have music back in my life. " Read more

I just wanted to let you know that I've been at an advanced music camp for the past couple of weeks and that until now I never really understood how much I actually taught me. Because of everything you have taught me, I'm step ahead of all the other drummers in transcription, various styles and sticking and basically everything else that we have been doing. So I just wanted to say thank you" Read more

Adam Clark has been teaching guitar, piano, bass and drums/percussion for close to 20 years. He is currently and will always be accepting and welcoming students of all ages, styles, skill-levels, backgrounds, genders, races, ethnicities, nationalities, and instruments. Growing up in a family of musicians, Adam had his first musical trainings on piano, guitar, and bass. This culminated in a degree from the New England Conservatory in Contemporary Improvisation in 2005 after a 3-year apprenticeship with the legendary drummer/compos...

My goal as an educator is to assist my students with setting meaningful goals and creating an action-plan to achieve them. I have a bachelors degree in percussion performance from the University of Michigan, and I am well-versed in the art of playing drum set, marimba, snare drum, xylophone, timpani, and accessory percussion. My pedagogical approach focuses on cross-training these different disciplines in an effort improve one's ability as efficently as possible. I cultivate the crossover between each of these groups systematically. Each of my students will travel a different path as they improve as a drummer/percussionist, based upon their...

Rick is an excellent teacher who makes learning engaging and fun. He structures lessons in a way that make you feel successful and wanting to come back for more. Early on he gets you playing songs you actually know that are within your skill level which makes the whole process super fun. It feels great once you actually play along song you have heard on the radio. As a student starting out in my 40s, Rick made the whole process approachable and comfortable. He builds on each success every lesson to make you a more well-rounded drummer. I would definitely recommend Rick as a teacher no matter your age or skill level.

Thank you for being my drum teacher and helping me improve a lot over the past year. The work we did with my senior district piece helped me a lot and without your help I wouldn't have made server districts.

I am a 74 year old drummer who took lessons in high school and never played for 50 years until 3 years ago. Even though it instantly came back to me I felt that something was missing. When I contacted Tony on the first lesson he asked me what I would like to accomplish if he were to teach me. I asked him to start with the basics as though I had never played before. He did, he not only had me doing basic rudiments he coached me on bringing my confidence level up, taught me how to tune my drums properly, and to this date im playing with much more confidence and my playing ability has greatly improved because of Tony's ability to teach and recognize my playing problems. Even though I now play in a band I will be staying with tony for drum lessons and I highly recommend him to anyone who is either a beginner or accomplished drummer. He's great and his personalty and demeanor is that of a professional.

I’ve been having private piano lessons with him for over a month now and I can’t express how thankful I am. The classes are entertaining and instructive. I have improved my playing and reading, as he teaches me that as well. I was afraid to start piano lessons at my age of 25 but he has taken that fear away and I am excited to learn more. I will start improvising soon.
