About

I've worked as an actress both in L.A. where I'm from, and NYC where I lived for 7 years. I've worked in film, television, and voiceover. I'm a proud member of AEA the Stage Actors Union. I've been a full time acting teacher working in both public and private schools for 5 years. I'm a member of the Boston Theater Critics Association and on the nominating committee for the Elliot Norton Awards, our local theater awards.

I'm a working actress myself, currently doing a play in NC for the next two months.

I give each student of mine an individualized approach to our work. Some students are brand new to acting and are taking classes as a hobby. Some students are ready to break into the business and need to learn what a resume should look like, how to get an agent, where to find auditions, etc. And some students are working actors themselves and need me to help them prepare for auditions, or get to the next stage of their career.

We work at a time, and at a pace that works for your schedule and finances.

With my help, my students have gotten agency representation. They have auditioned for Hulu, Freeform, Tyler Perry Media, Netflix, Marvel, CBS, and many others. I have coached them through private meetings with the heads of casting at Disney, Netflix and CBS. I have helped them connect with major Casting Director's.

I love watching the thrill a student has when they "just get it", when the penny drops for the first time. I love seeing a students growth, and helping them see how far they've come from the first session to the last.

I love the thrill of watching a student make smart, real choices that just make the character come alive!

I have been working with Kacie for two years now. She is an excellent teacher, that tailors the lessons to your focus. Kacie is great at giving direction, breaking down the acting process and building a foundation of knowledge.
Not only has taking lessons with Kacie helped build my confidence from no experience to someone who performs on a regular basis. She has pushed me to challenge myself in the aspects of acting I struggle with the most, which I appreciate.
Kacie is also a blast to do lessons with, I always have a great time and look forward to our next class. It has truly been a joy to work with Kacie and I would and have recommended her to anyone who asks.

Kacie can do just about anything you want her to. She taught me through repetition, exploration, script analysis, emotional depth, warm-ups...she gave me self-tapes to practice with, helped me word emails, was my support through nerve-wrecking auditions and periods of intense doubt, celebrated my successes and so much more. She helped me with choosing headshots, connecting me to people she knows in the industry, the list goes on. Kacie is a strong actress with lots of training and experience, and most importantly, she goes above and beyond to help because she CARES.

I have been taking lessons with Kacie for over a year now. Being brand new to acting (no experience whatsoever), she has helped me find a way to navigate how to express my creative side. Taking lessons with her each week challenges me and helps me discover new sides of myself as an actress that I didn’t know I had. She is reassuring and accepting and a comfortable place for anyone who is interested in acting to learn and grow. She is a joy to work with and I couldnt imagine starting with a better teacher.

I like that it’s never boring! She always keeps me on my toes and helps me in many different ways to learn all I need to know about acting! She’s very reasonable and very accommodating! I always look forward to our classes and can’t wait to continue our classes and to be able to learn more from her! She’s the best 😊

She is not only incredibly fun to work with, but she also took the time to understand my individual goals and tailored her teaching to suit my needs. Her knowledge of the industry is impressive, and her guidance helped me improve drastically, eventually leading me to achieve my first work on set. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to start with or improve in acting!

Kacie is a reliable, friendly, invested, well-connected, learned, entertainment industry professional who can guide you from the very beginning of your journey, to the jump-off point in becoming a working actor. If youre looking for someone to help break down a scene, read with you, and really dive deep into a character, Kacie is an immense guide + inspiration. Its always a pleasure working with her, and I could never mention any success I may have attained/have yet to attain without mentioning her name. Would recommend to anyone looking to start out, or hone their craft!

    Frequently asked questions

My job is to serve you. We would discuss what your goals are and what you hope to gain from our lessons. Once we know what you want we can tailor the lessons to your schedule and decide the best course of action. You may want to meet a few times to prepare for a specific audition. You may wnat to meet regularly to learn how to act for the first time. Or maybe you've stepped away from acting for years and need help getting back in the water with lessons and a headshot and resume update. Whatever it is, I will make it work for you and your schedule.

I am the first place winner of the Drama teachers Association of Southern California Shakespeare competition. After my win I was asked to come back as a judge, and served in that capacity for the next 3 years.

I am a proud member of Actor's Equity Association

I am a very proud graduate of one of the top theater programs in the country The University of North Carolina School of the Arts.

I have taught for the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School district in Southern California and the Lawrence Public School district in Lawrence, MA. Starting this fall I will be teaching for the Boston Public School District.

I have taught in private schools in Manhattan and Boston.

I have taught private students for over 5 years.

As an actress I have worked in some of the largest playhouses in the country. I have done voiceover work for videogames, commercials, and audiobooks, and more.

My going rate is $30 for the half hour, $50 for the hour. Prices can be negotiable if you are ingterested in package deals.

I was asked to teach in the school district I graduated from immediately upon graduating, and I've never stopped. It's always been a skill that I had that kept me afloat when I was a full time actress. I found that I loved it so much that I transitioned to it full time.

My experience has ranged from pre-k through grade 12, and beyond. As a teacher I vary the lessons for the age group I am teaching. I love working with adults who are already in their careers and may just want to take lessons for fun, or to get back in touch with their creative side.

I also love working with the beginning actor, watching them learn to be brave and make bold choices, and have fun!

Right before quarantine I was in the middle of directing a production of "Peter Pan" at a private school in Reading. Using my background in both dance and stage combat I was able to bring all of those big boisteruos scenes between the Pirates and the Lost Boys to life. I think I run a fun production, and we were so close to opening night! But we made sure to have a virtual showcase so the students could still show all their hard work!

Students should take the time to talk to the teacher, for free, and to see if it's a good fit for them. With privagte lessons, the lesson should absolutely be tailor made to fit the students goals and not follow a teachers preset agenda. The expectations of meeting should be very clear. Any teacher who is truly invested in your success will sit down and tkae their time to talk to you at no charge and get on the same page. In each lesson they should be so clear what their objectives for you are so that you understand which way the car is driving and what you need to try to get out of it.

In addition, if something isn't working for you, there should be an ease of communication there for you to let your instructor know that it isn't and for you both to try a new tactic ro reverse course. You are paying for the lesson, so ultimately it is you who should feel most at ease.

You should ask more about the teachers background and experience in the field.

Once your goals are clearly communicated you should feel free to ask what the teacher thinks is the best way to get there, in other words what will be the structure of my lessons?

You should have a clear, and honest conversation about your budget and how many lessons you can afford, so that the teacher can make your needs fit into your budget and time frame.

If you are struggling as you go along you should absolutely articulate that to your teacher. With acting there is no one right path to the end result. There is always another way. Not a fan of Meisner, then we won't do it. Emotional recall giving you trouble, We'll figure something else out.

You are the captain of this ship.
