How did you get started teaching?
My GP, who had known me from a small child, asked me to help his 12 year old daughter to rectify a tracking problem of her knees and lower leg to avoid knee surgery. I taught his daughter in weekly Private Coaching Lessons and after 2 years his daughters knees no longer required surgery. I was a professional Ballet Dancer at that time and already had my Royal Academy of Dance teaching degree as well. But this experience of helping a child overcome a physical alignment problem was the turning point in my life towards Teaching as a career.

All types of students from beginners of all ages to Professional Dancers.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ballet is a very specialised field. Teaching Ballet at all levels requires that a teacher has achieved a recognised Ballet teaching qualification. examples: Royal Academy of Dance - the International benchmark of Dance.
