
About
David is the former Creative Director at Baltimore’s newest art incubator, the Motor House, the Founding Program Manager for the Urban Arts Leadership Program at the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, and Executive Board Member/ Associate Artistic Director for Arena Players Inc.
He graduated from Morgan State University with a BA in Theatre, and received an MFA from the New School for Social Research.
He returned to Baltimore in 2005 to work as a full time at Morgan State University and since then he has been a facilitator and major catalyst; in bringing together diverse segments of the performing arts community. David is also the former Managing Director for Run of the Mill Theater “It’s Anything But!”, a not-for-profit community theatre here in Baltimore.
He has also worked with several Art Education groups in Baltimore as the lead theater consultant, both in the classroom and at community centers.
David has facilitated and instructed university and college students in the fundamentals of theater, acting, advanced acting, voice, and theater history.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
This class is designed for professionals and non-professionals. Classes will assist students in discovering impulse and authenticity. Special attention will be given to the breakdown and execution of a contemporary scene, with a concentration on objectives and tactics.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always have a conversation about "needs" first. A common language is crucial in any learning environment.
