Since a young age, I have had an interest in performing and creating live music. That passion had led me to become a full time working musician and instructor. Having a degree in music performance, I have over 10 years of experience to help you start on your musical journey. With a step-by-step curriculum I have created myself, I focus on helping you develop a deeper understanding of music and learn to grow not only as a drummer, but as a musician on the drum set. Every challenge or difficulty in music can be conquered. With enough focus anyone can achieve the goals they set for themselves.
Andrews lessons have a very chilled relaxed vibe LOADED with (NEW )information !! he is VERY CLEAR in explaining himself and the material he is introducing to you, he has offered me some very creative ideas on approaching some (old school ) patterns and exercises that I found quite refreshing , and his enthusiasm for teaching and sharing his music knowledge is quite apparent in each lesson !!
I've been taking lessons from Andrew for a little over 2 months now. He is very down to earth and easy to get along with. He constantly goes above and beyond to try to understand my needs as a student and how to best approach teaching ME specifically, which is more than appreciated. 10/10 teacher.
Every student has a different musical understanding/background. I make each lesson customized for the need of the student. Early on in lessons, I will have students understand how to read music, work on playing grooves, and learn how to play along with a metronome - three essential things drummers need to know in order to play with other musicians
I have been a musician for over 15 years, have years of experience collaborating with other musicians/bands, and have a Bachelors in Music Performance from Towson University.

Looking for a teacher in the arts is no easy task. Look for a teacher who is passionate about their area of expertise, and who is able to pass on that interest to others. Find an instructor who has the ability to motivate and push the student to strive to do their best.
