Over 30 years playing/teaching with a history of credentials including many of Detroit's finest artist such as Insane Clown Posse and various Psychopathic Records artist, Eminem's hype man the late great MC Proof and participated in an earlier incarnation of Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker. Currently working on Motown Rage's new record to be released on Luxor/Victory records and accepting new students.
Watching my students grow and achieve understanding of the instrument is one of my greatest joys teaching. Studied Jazz guitar, music theory, singing, piano,songwriting/recording and composition under the tutelage of the late great Morris Lawrence and Johnny Lawrence @Washtenaw Community College. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Finger warms ups. Introducing the major scale in speed picking fashion. Ask the students interest in styles and send them on with a cover or two to have fun with.
