Bailey is an insightful coach and director who will help you take your acting to the next level and build your confidence. He is energetic, kind and easy to work with, while at the same time pushing actors to dig into a script to find unique choices that help create a fully realized, truthful character. I highly recommend him as a coach to both novice and experienced actors.

Bailey Boudreau is an incisive, patient, and thorough teacher. Bailey not only gives you the foundations and confidence to approach a scene, he also tackles the oft-overlooked components of being a successful actor; e.g., choosing the right monologue for you, auditioning, and the analytics of where a scene thematically begins and ends for a character. I enthusiastically recommend Bailey Boudreau's instruction as it's made all the difference for me.

Bailey helped me break out of bad, limiting habits that kept me from growing as an artist, and performing as effectively as possible. He helped me understand how to bring truth to a scene using what's already there, and how to get out of my own way while performing. These lessons he imparted helped me achieve a new level in my acting. He is a very astute judge of an actor's strengths and weaknesses, and will help you overcome those without wasting any of your time with sugar coated thoughts. He will motivate you and teach you how to be a more confident performer, and will guide you to your potential by listening to you, working with you in an open, honest, and respectful manner.

Bailey's patience and insight is invaluable. He has an ability to find your strengths and talk in a language that inspires those strengths. By doing this, he creates an environment where his actors are safe to build relationships and develop characters with depth and honesty. He questions the actor in all the right ways while allowing them their freedom to take the stage and answer those questions. To put it simply, Bailey Boudreau is one of the finest acting coaches I've had in my ten years of theatre experience. I wouldn't be the actor I am today without him.

Bailey was instrumental in preparing me for my college auditions. He was able to bring his real-world knowledge to the table as he assisted me each step of the process. His support was realistic and positive.

I always felt absolutely comfortable and safe when I learned from him. I felt the freedom to try anything while learning new and exciting ways to explore each piece. He helped me to understand who I am as an actor and gave me the courage to push myself and make beautiful art. I have never stopped learning from Bailey.

Bailey is a fantastic coach who has great ability to see the potential in any actor. He is great at working with your strengths and choosing pieces that work best for you. He is good at "thinking outside the box" to create strong, memorable performances. I have had great success with auditions, both professionally and for graduate schools, after working with Bailey

Bailey is amazingly innovative. He often takes works that are familiar, such as Shakespeare, and explores ways in which the plays can achieve more relevance with contemporary audiences. He always uses an approach with actors that allows each actor to find their character’s motivations, and truly understand the work. He has worked with actors in every age group, and he is very intuitive and has extraordinary communication skills. Having worked with Bailey both as an actor and a technical director, I can easily state that he is my favorite director in over forty years in theatre to work with.

His ability to help me connect each character to something real, to help me see them in my day to day experiences and to draw on that to create a fully actualized person onstage, instead of a character.

While working with Bailey, I was never told exactly what to do. He gave me the guidance I needed to make my own choices and create my own vision for a character. He has a wealth of knowledge and experiences that have been useful to me even outside of the theatre. It was a great pleasure to work with him.

Although I've never studied acting under Bailey's tutelage, I HAVE been an observer of his work with both teens and adults for quite some time. What I've seen first hand are the results of his work: excellently crafted shows. But more importantly, I've seen how he relates to those he directs - and conversely, how much he's adored and respected by them. He's creative, skilled as both an actor and director, patient and a hard worker with high standards for both himself and for those he works with. And he's fun. What more can you ask of an acting coach?

I've seen first hand how Bailey's work with actors translates into very compelling, interesting performances on the stage. These performances, which he's able to encourage from the actors he's working with, is impressive!

Bailey has a unique ability to help an actor connect to a character in a truthful and natural way, and is consistently supportive, patient and knowledgeable. He is a fabulous actor himself, and has a talent for bringing out the best in others, whether they're brand new to the stage and acting, or seasoned professionals looking for new ways to approach the craft. I highly recommend Bailey to anyone who seeks a skilled and intuitive acting coach.

As someone who reviews theatre in the greater Detroit area, I've seen the results of Bailey's coaching. His students consistently perform with the excellence of veterans ... responding to both Bailey's candid, clear direction and earnest desire to help people perfect their craft. Can't go wrong to seek guidance here.

Bailey has prepped me for auditions and I walked in feeling confident and understanding exactly what I wanted to do in stage. He is specific and clear with his suggestions but he also leaves plenty of room for the actor to make their own discoveries and he helps refine those discoveries to make them more powerful.

Bailey is personable, warm, and a clear communicator, not to mention a wildly talented actor himself. He has a very easy demeanor which bodes well in his coaching. He is encouraging but firm. Baily has been a mentor to many successful young actors, all have had excellent experiences and results working with Bailey

I have not worked directly with Bailey as an acting coach. He has coached my daughters and also as the drama coach at my childrens' high school where I am a parent volunteer. Bailey sees what is unique about a person and brings that to the forefront. He does not have a single acting package that he regurgitates. He creates actors that act from the inside out, showing true emotion without using damaging techniques.
Also Bailey is wonderful at the always difficult human aspect of being an artist. He has life perspective that allows for a resilient actor and guides the kids through disappointment.

He took the time to understand how I personally approach a project or audition piece without my even realizing it. By doing that he created such a safe space for me to work in that it was easy to push past my comfort zones and make bold choices in my performance. Bailey does not use just one blanket way of coaching everyone, he focuses on specifics and adjusts his style to meet the needs of his actors. He gives honest critique with solution.

I don’t even know where to begin!! Bailey is my most-trusted acting and directing guru. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, and he has the vocabulary to communicate direction so you’re NOT left like “ok...how do I act that..?” He is so approachable and compassionate, while at the same time being efficient and producing results I can see and feel. He leaves you feeling confident in yourself and your work—what’s better than that in this line of work? I’m so lucky to have him not only as a coach, but also as a resource, as his experience just speaks for itself. (Thank you for everything, Bailey!)

Bailey knows what each specific student needs, and knows exactly how to elevate that student’s skills. He has endless wisdom about the theatre industry as a whole. He encourages the passion that students are only beginning to recognize they have.

Bailey Boudreau provides an actor with such sharp & unique tools to use in their work. His quick wit & fantastic analysis of the actor's every mannerism, habit, and tactics let's the actor discover so much about their own craft they would have never learned before.

He’s very personal, He’ll go slow at your pace. He works with you rather than just telling you what to do. Which is really what you want in an acting coach.

I would not be taking acting as seriously as I do now if not for Bailey’s coaching. He showed me the dedication and patience this craft takes. He also coached me on my audition monologues which allowed me to be accepted into one of my top college choices. He is dedicated to his students in helping them to grow and find their own individual passion towards the craft.

Taught me ideas in acting that I've used in every role since, kept working nonstop until he found the exact mix of techniques that worked specifically for me, spent hours finding and cutting monologues that emphasized what I could do. Out of this world acting coach.
