Cooking with Class with Deb Buzar was founded in 2005 with a desire to share my love and knowledge of food, wine and cooking with the home enthusiast in a personal enviornment. Over the span of the past 17 years, I have taught well over 9,000 students.
I offer hands on cooking classes in my home for one to six people and cooking parties for larger groups in a client's home kitchen.
At Cooking with Class with Deb Buzar, I am focused on providing you with classes that obtain the highest levels of customer satisfaction – I will do everything I can to exceed your expectations.

What to expect for all of my classes:
The day you arrive for class you will be welcomed with a complimentary appetizer and choice of beverages to enjoy while you cook. The kitchen will be set up with work stations with knives, cutting boards and aprons to use during class. I will give you instruction and tips on how to prepare your selected menu. You prepare your meal. When the food is ready, you will retreat to the dining room where I will serve you your meal. Each participant will receive a packet of recipes of the food they created in class that day.
Types of classes.
Bespoke Cooking Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning, afternoon or evening as well as Sunday morning/ afternoons. You will create your menu from selecting dishes from my seasonal suggestions. Classes last about 4 hours and begin at $300.00 for two people. Contact Deb for additional pricing information.
Set menu classes are offered Monday, Tuesday and Wednedsday morning/ afternoon or evenings. Visit my website for class offerings. Classes begin around $85.00 per person with a $170.00 minimum per class.
I can also custom design a class for you based upon what you want to learn. Pricing may vary based upon amount of time spent on recipe development etcetera.
I am available to travel to you. Pricing is set based upon my hourly rate of $50.00 plus the cost of ingredients. I have a $350.00 minimum rate. Additional costs may apply.

I graduated with Merit from the Professional Chef Program of Laguna Culinary Arts located in Laguna Beach, California in 2003.
In 2005, I earned the Level 2 Intermediate Certificate in Wines, Spirits and other Alcoholic Beverages from the Wine, Spirits, and Education Trust from London, England.
I also hold a current Serve Safe Certification.
Bespoke Cooking Class in Deb's Kitchen
Cost for these classes begin at $300.00 for two people , then $50.00 for each additional student. I can arrange to take as many as 6.
Wine pairings are additional. Party favors are additional. Premium selection of food items may be additional.
Morning and afternoon classes begin at a time convenient for you between 9-11:30 A.M. and are available Monday through Friday and Sunday mornings and afternoons.
Depending on the menu selected and the number of people participating, most classes will run between 3 1/2 - 4 hours in duration.

Classes usually last aproximately 2.5-3 hours and are offered on Monday through Friday morning and afternoons as well as Monday through Wednesday evenings. Pricing is posted on my website per class. Average cost of class is around $85.00 per person with a $170.00 minimum.
Cooking Parties in Your Kitchen
Cost for this type of class is based on an hourly rate , plus the cost of ingredients. While most clients prefer to do their own shopping, for an extra fee, I can do this for you. I can also arrange dish washing services if desired. Additional costs may apply.

Deposits are required for any class that requires out of pocket expenses to prepare for a cooking class. If a class is cancelled or if a client does not show up for a class, fees may be applied. Ask Deb for details when arranging your class. Client is responsible for cost of all shopped for ingredients if a class is cancelled. If class is rescheduled, client may be responsible for any perishable ingredients that need to be restocked for the class.
This type of class usually requires about 8 hours of my time, between set up, class time and clean up.

The school where I obtained my culinary certification offered a professional program as well as classes for the culinary enthuisiast. While in culinary school, I assisted with many of these classes and found that I enjoyed it emmensley. When I graduated from culinary school I was hired as an instructor. Several years after that I began my own business teaching cooking classes.
I have worked with children, teenagers and adults. My classes are mostly enjoyed by adults and young teens. I strongly urge a parent of young children to take the lesson with the child.
