Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask a student why they want to act. Ask them to cold read a script for me. I request a rehearsed monolgue, have the student perform that monologue for me so I can get an idea of what level of performance we need to work on. watching a Monologue from a student, I can get a better Idea of thier strengths and weaknesses. This usually gives me a good direction on what I should work on with the individual student. For some it might be cold reading a script for an audition, for others it's a character choice and still for others it can just be taking the time within a scene, to have special, powerful moments that make each performance stand out.
