At Dancing Under the Stars we can teach you 24/7. You come in whenever it’s convenient in your schedule. Ounce you become more confident in your dancing skills you’ll be invited to our many social dance events that are held throughout the month.
Our beautiful second floor ballroom has a large gorgeous dance floor that looks-out over Main Street in beautiful downtown Rochester and there’s a convenient elevator that opens directly across from our gorgeous cherry wood French doors that welcomes you into our lovely studio.
I’ve been a certified professional Ballroom & Latin dance instructor for several years. Introducing new students to the fun of social dancing styles has been my passion throughout my entire career.
My students use a certified curiculum that progresses them rapidly in their dancing. They appreciate being able to see exactly what level they are at, while getting better by using a nationally proven interrelated system of teaching.
Teaching people how to dance has been the love of my life sense I graduated from high school. I love seeing my students have fun on the floor. Weather you are a beginner at social dancing or a engaged wedding dance couple or even a competitive dancer, both Singles & Couple's will have Fun learning to dance, here with us.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start brand new students out with 3 private one-on-one sessons. Then depending on thier interest we help them to thier personal goals in dancing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Several seminars, private coaching (with the best in the world), Regional and National Championships. Classes in management and successful business practices. ect...
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
We have a reducing lesson rate according to the number of lessons enrolled.
How did you get started teaching?
After having graduated I was a drummer in a country rock band 3 nights every week. I saw a classified ad that read FRD ASTAIRE DANCE STUDIO "Free dance training, paid travel vacations, get paid for dancing with amazing woman that love dancing with you." I said, YES PLEASE!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught every kind of student emaginable. From young kids to very old kids that want to have fun.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We went to this huge ballroom where there were around 60 to 75 couples on the floor dancing have the best time of our lives. They had circle mixers and a professional floor show and food to dye for.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
After finding a teacher with the expertise your looking for, talk to them and get a feel for how they communicate. If they sound like good people, give them a try.
