I've played piano for 60 years and taught for over 40, 16 at The University of Michigan. I teach all levels and all genres of music from Rock to Rachmaninoff.

I began my music education at the age of six in Ukraine. My love for music has led me to pursue a career in the field. I am very grateful to my teachers for having passed on their knowledge and love for music to me and I wish to equally pass on my love for music to my students. I am a member of Music Teacher National Association, Michigan Music Teacher Association (MMTA), and Metropolitan Detroit Musician League. I teach from my home in Troy, MI. I’m Ben Dannug, and I’m a classically trained professional jazz pianist and pop/worship/session keyboardist in the Metro-Detroit Area. I’ve been teaching my private studio for 5 years. Students who work with me will learn the necessary tools to play synthesizers, keyboards, jazz piano and establish themselves as confident modern music players at any level! I teach music through immersion: listening, playing, and analysis- taking my skills from my 13 years of classical training and combining them with the skills I’ve learned over the 3 years of playing professional gigs in the many styles of music of the Detroit area.
