Tapestry Folkdance Center, founded in 1983 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes an appreciation for folk dance and related cultural traditions. This unique community provides an open, social environment for learning and enjoying folk dance and music. Their programs include a variety of dances such as Bollywood, International Folk, Contra, and English Country Dance, among others. In addition to fostering a sense of community and promoting cultural diversity, Tapestry contributes to individual health by providing a form of lifetime exercise and social activity.
