About
I cater all of my lessons to the individual needs and goals of each particular student. When learning an instrument there are infinite potential paths to take. I try only to be a guide to help my students down the paths they choose. I have no desire as a teacher to make copies of myself or to force any specific direction onto my students. My goal is to help get each student moving forward in their quest to find their own unique voice on the instrument.
I honestly never get tired of teaching drums. It's endlessly fascinating and fun. Not all students learn in the same way so, I'm constantly thinking about different ways to explain concepts so that each individual student can understand. In turn this deepens my own understanding and reinforces the fundamentals.
