John P. says, "The teacher is great at watching and listening to my playing. He excels at correcting my playing in a manner that I understand and doesn't make me feel like I shouldn't be playing guitar. It's a real pleasure to learn from Ryan. I am a much better player and learning so quickly I really can't believe it." Read more

Our instructors seek to give students a thorough understanding of their instrument while teaching them to play music they enjoy. Our lessons follow a basic outline that is personalized to match each individual’s musical taste and ability. Most importantly, we believe playing an instrument should be fun: when playing becomes fun, so does learning.

I thought that the lessons offered were a great way to both practice as well as get feedback from the teacher and other students. The exercises are taught in a way to both improve specific playing but also improve practicing in general. Each time I go back to an exercise I feel like I played it better than the time before. The teacher is a good way of spotting poor play as well as explaining the correct way to do it so you get immediate corrections. The environment for learning is very comfortable both as a brand new student as well as after a year of lessons.

Pat Balder is an exceptional singing teacher. His training and background see him combining the best parts of traditional and contemporary vocal practice. He has built his own approach, merging parts of other disciplines such as SLS, Estil, Opera and more. Even online he has been able to work bringing my voice to a level at which I am thrilled - I've found the voice I always wanted. Pat has a great ear for hearing the parts of your voice that need refining, and even online he notices subtle physical nuances. He's also an amazing singer who can do almost any style. And he's a kind-hearted, charming guy. I couldn't recommend him more!
