I use a completely new age form of teaching that really clicks with all my current students. It is a mixture of traditional teach and a computer program I use for teaching. Kids seem to pay attention more when I have the music on a screen rather than paper. The main goal I have with every student is not teaching them how to play everyone else's songs but how to utilize these techniques and shapes to create their own music. I have been teaching private guitar and bass lessons in my home since the 90s. I have worked as a professional musician since I was 14 years old and have experience playing many, many different styles of music, including rock, pop, blues, jazz, classical, country, R&B, acoustic folk (and other styles). I am a 21 years old student at Texas A&M University. I have played acoustic guitar since i was 7 years old and I consider it a passion of mine. I have been in bands, and written a few songs that have amassed over 100k listens. People have always told me that I should be a teacher of some sort so I figured why not give guitar lessons a shot. I am relatively new at giving lessons, and I think the students that I could be the biggest help to are people that have never played before and want to learn acoustic guitar.
