Sarah has been a professional actor in the Twin Cities since moving back from LA, where she worked as an actor and Commercial Casting Director for almost a decade. Sarah has taught acting classes for both on-stage and on-camera work to children and adults. She is currently a teaching artist at Stages Theater. Sarah is also an actor, director and playwright mentor for the children participating in the Chicago Avenue Project at the Pillsbury House Theater. Sarah works as a crisis intervention trainer with the Department of Justice, where she trains officers in de-escalation techniques using improvasational scenarios, all around the nation. Sarah is certified instructor in Mental Health First with an emphisis on Puplic Safety and Law Enforcement.
I love watching actors come into their own, and work together like a well oiled machine. Acting is a continuous study, I don't think it can be mastered, but I think the actor can always grow. To witness it is like magic to me. I want the acting student to succeed, and help inform the business side as well as the craft of acting.

I charge $50 an hour for individual coaching sessions.
How did you get started teaching?
When I returned to the Twin Cities, I was asked to teach a nuts and bolts class to parents of child actors. I was able to help them understand on-set rules, Coogan accounts, headshots do's and don'ts, and getting an agent.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with both children and adults. I currently work with lawyers, professors, and other people with a focus on public speaking. I also have students with different learning abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently directed a Bollywood dance/drama. I learned so much about Indian dance and culture. It was an amazing experience to work within the community. The event was a benefit for Alzheimer's Disease.
