About

We know that adults are busy people, to keep our (primarily) Tap classes affordable you only pay for them when you dance. Our focus is on building brains, bones, and balance. Performance opportunities come up and dancers are invited to participate, but there is no pressure or end-of-year recital. If you choose to perform; which a few people do; your costume is usually a uniform t-shirt.

We enjoy providing a tap experience that is challenging yet not intimidating. Our focus on the basics as building blocks allows for a very holistic pedagogy developed from over 25 years of learning how to teach. Our classes are playful, and engaging and we listen to a lot of great music that makes you want to dance.

Frequently asked questions

Provide the first class for free so you can see if it is a good fit. Help to get into appropriate shoes based on physical and financial priorities.

I have trained with many of the worlds finest tap dancers: Lane Alexander, Sam Weber, Dianne Walker, Lynn Dally, Brenda Buffalino, Roxanne Butterfly, Sir Jimmy Slyde, Cholly Atkins and many, many more. Most of my traing has come from attending tap dance festivals, primarily the Chicago Human Rhythm Project.

Drop-in rate is $25/class. If you buy 4 or more classes at a time the price drops to $17.50/class. You only pay for the actual classes you take, it is not a monthly fee.
