Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I begin by assessing their interest, goals, and natural skills. Communication is critical, so I try to align our goals and skills to maximize the growth within the parameters of their desired investment. I lead by physical demonstration and verbal articulation of skills and movements to find which cues are most effective for the student, and through a balance of praise and correction, we will develop the desired skillset!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied dance at University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana for two years, one year at Sam Houston State University, and two years at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, from which I earned my degree in dance.
I have trained pole and aerial all over the country, performing and competing and earning major titles while becoming versatile in adapting to audiences and other clientele.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Varies greatly among services as a performer or instructor, group classes vs. private classes, and many other factors. Contact for rate, and I may also be open to negotiating.
What types of students have you worked with?
A wide range from Beginner children to Advanced college dance students. I've also taught dance regularly to adult senior citizens in a form of yogic movement restoration.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
After winning the regional title of the 2018 Men's Pro Pole Champion, I just returned from 2019 Nationals in San Francisco, where I was a finalist and reignited my ambition to better myself to come back and win!
