Rogue Motion Dance - Street & Fusion Belly Dance
About
The NEW voice of belly dance! Adult & Youth classes weekly. Teaching the hottest new street dance out of Egypt, mahraganat sha’abi, in addition to street-style belly dance fusion. PERFECT for 1:1 lessons, small group lessons, hosted for workshops (street basics and knife dancing as well). Also specializing in Arabic folkloric dance, and theatrical/cosplay dance. Host RMD for your next private event!
My mission is to teach in a size inclusive environment where plus-size, curvy women and other folks can feel empowered and accepted for their talents beyond body type. I love to see dancers feel comfortable in their own bodies and learn about a new culture. I love seeing students “get” the Egyptian aesthetic. I love seeing the commitment and dedication in a new students eyes.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If they are absolutely new to dance, I will start with a basic introduction to Egyptian dance. Depending on experience and in which styles, I will evaluate their overall dance knowledge and technique with a song they are familiar with. From there, I can best understand how to go about teaching them Egyptian aesthetic and movement.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained formally in ballet, jazz, hip hop and other Western styles of dance for almost 20 years, including 7 years of formal and regular training with several local, national and internationally respected leaders in Egyptian dance and belly dance fusion.
These include: Levels 1 &2 of dance ethnologist Sahra C Kent’s “Journey Through Egypt” Program, Nisaa of St Louis, Karim Nagi, Tempest, transnational fusion artist Donna Mejia and many more. I have also trained with the local St Louis krump crew “Arch Madnezz” and compete in local all style street battles.
I also perform regularly in St Louis and the greater Midwest.
