Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Kevin White has been teaching private drum/percussion lessons for over 23 years and performing for over 32. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in percussion from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s School of Music. He is the author of the critically acclaimed Breaking It Down series of books.
We offer some of the most fun and innovative drum lessons anywhere in the US. Lessons are crafted to the individual learner using the Breaking It Down series of books as the platform. My son Declan has been taking lessons from Kevin since he was 5 and is now almost 16. Kevin has been the perfect teacher for Declan through the years. Declan has learned to play songs from all kinds of genres and has eagerly now joined his school band. Kevins love of music shows through in each lesson. He has encouraged Declan to perform at recitals! Not only has Kevin been a wonderful teacher, he has been a positive constant in Declans life and for that I am grateful.
