All of my lessons are given in my drum studio or online. This allows me to teach my students on real drums, not electronic drums or practice pads. Many of my former students are now touring professional drummers.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Usually, we start with a brief phone call or email to find out their background - specifically with regards to taking drum lessons. Then, we schedule an introductory lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 25 years experience as a professional drummer and educator.
I have studied drums/percussion for 13 years through High School and college.
With percussion studies at both Florida State University and Berklee College of Music, I finished my collegiate education with a Master's Degree in Music.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching lessons when I was a Senior in High School.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught all levels of students. From beginners to professional drummers. Some of my former students are now professional drummers touring with major artists.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my former students just got an artist endorsement with Zildjian Cymbals. I am very proud of them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure the teacher can teach you how to read music. Similar to reading words and books, there is a lot of information you can teach yourself if you are given the right tools.
