My name is Graham Mott. I've played Tennis since 1973. I've taught tennis and played for many years. They key to you success as a tennis player is to be patient at the beginning when you're first learning. Keeping your eye on the ball is the first step to success. You have to be able to have eye/racket coordination. Simple drills like bouncing the tennis ball on your racket strings is a good first step. Also, lateral coordination is important. That's running from side to side in the court. Once you perfect theses two skills, you can begin the process of mastering the game.
