Fifth String Studio

Fifth String Studio is a place of study for beginning and advancing bluegrass banjo players. The location, atmosphere, and training outline are all designed to work together to provide the highest resolution and clarity in training and practical exercise. To allow the student to field their own path forward by recognizing and strengthen the weak areas and explore the fundamentals of expanding their strong areas. There is a special concession for military veterans, especially those suffering from PTSD.

The best thing about sharing and teaching music is to see a person's own style of playing and understanding of music come out. Being a music instructor is about teaching someone to become their own best student. Love seeing that process come together. Never gets old...
