About
Constance Reynolds (SAG-AFTRA) has over ten years of experience in acting. Classically trained in Theatre at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, she fell in love with the development of confidence in her fellow artists. As a professional actor, Constance always makes the time to uplift and encourage actors and other professionals in the theatre/entertainment community. Reynolds Studios was founded in 2018 in the closet of her home, where she began voice acting and self-taping for auditon opportunities. She has a vlog on YouTube entitled "Consciously Constance" where she shares insights from her journey as not only an actress, but a mother, businesswoman, and mindful human being. Constance works with seasoned professionals in NY, NC, VA, GA, and CA to develop rising talent, both young and not-so-young.

I enjoy upllifting and encouraging others. I love to help people find the light within them, and support them as they learn to trust themselves more and more. Acting is a craft that requires skills of the mind to master. Acting is also an artform in that it requires the fullness of the heart to amplify expression. So, we will get together and play, and let our hearts and minds come together for a while, and see how it feels. The work is really the play!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Drama from the University of North Carolina Greensboro and over 13 years experience in acting for the stage and camera. She specializes in improv, stage presence, and directing as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally, my rate is $40/hour. I reccomend 2-hour sessions for new actors, because it takes time to introduce and implement new practices and perspectives to acting. I am here to talk you through it, while building skills and confidence.
How did you get started teaching?
I worked with a producer on a project and we really hit it off. Months later, he gave me a call and asked if I was willing to mentor a young actress. This request sparked the idea. When I was offered the role of First Assistant Director for the feature film "Who Am I" (in preproduction) I knew that my willingness to step up and guide the new actors was well received, so I took a shot, and put myself out there! My first two clients found me through facebook. Since then, they have both landed speaking roles in local film/series.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with adults from ages 8 to 51, from very different walks of life. I absolutely love working with children. I especially love working with mature adults, because I get to encourage their "child within" to come out and play!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have written and produced two short films and I have traveled to some amazing places doing what I love. It feels amazing to see a script that I wrote come to life. It felt even better to be in a position to provide opportunites to actors in my area. I am also proud to be a co-executive producer on the web series "What's Your Chocolate?". On this project I learned so much as a writer and director, but I was also able to support my fellow castmates onset with their acting and surrendering to the moment.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take the time to meet the potential teacher. Treat it like a first date in a sense, because acting can get pretty personal. After all, YOU are the instrument! The space between acting coach and trainee should be safe. When you meet a potential acting coach, ask yourself, "Can I keep it real with this person?" Cause you're going to need to do that for sure!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you need acting lessons?
Would you like to act as a creative hobby, or to build a career?
Do you want to act on stage or for the camera?
What goals would you like to accomplish in acting this year?
Are you coachable?
