(YOU MUST BE, MINIMUM, 17-YEARS OF AGE TO TRAIN WITH ME) I want to emphasize I am a career acting junkie. Ever since I committed to acting as a career, not a week goes by where I am not attempting to unlock its mysteries. I love every thing about this field and it shows in my enthusiasm with my students. I train you hard, but the payoff is worth it. I teach with one goal in mind: to make you the best actor you can be.
Everything. And that's no hyperbole. What I never thought of before I got into teaching, is how much I learn as an actor,by working with and watching my students work and grow. I think what I love most is when I see my students begin to 'get it.' Everything I have been iterating, everything they have been working so hard for, finally 'clicks' and suddenly, exciting, spontaneous work begins to flow. It's very awe inspiring for me, and the student, as well. We call it the 'light bulb' moment, except we don't turn on the switch, the switch just magically turns on when its ready to.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
(Due to its intense, no-holds-barred, nature, is best suited for students 17 and older.) First, I want to get to know my students experiences, goals and a bit about their personalitiies. I don't try to force the issue upfront, because much of it will unfold as we progress. It's important my students feel comfortable and trust me and what I'm teaching, so they can be as relaxed and open to the work as possible.
Next, depending on what the student is looking for (technique, scene study, script analysis, Shakespeare,monologues, auditions) I craft my lessons to fit their needs. It also depends on whether we are working one-on-one or in a small group.
