About
I have a lifetime of experience as a professional workng/ touring drummer and can share my knowledge, skills, and experience
I love to share what I know and watch the transformation of the student into a great drummer. I often would lose track of time if I wasn't careful, because I truly enjoy working with students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I assess their current level of knowledge and proficiency. Then, I devise the lesson plan that I feel will help the individual student grow. As well, I always have them play grooves (beats) from the very beginning (unless the student is only interested in working on technique), regardless of their skill level. I believe players at any level can play a simple, basic beat and progress from there. I provide tracks without drums to my students and have them playing with other musicians right away. I have hundreds of drumless recordings that simulate the experience of playing with other professional musicians.

How did you get started teaching?
My Father was a professional big band drummer, who was working full-time as a drummer. As a result, he was a major influence and he inspired me to play drums.
