I was a YMCA Sports Instructor for 1 year teaching classes like tennis, soccer, and basketball. Currently a Sports Instructor at Lifetime Athletic. I've worked with ages from 3-13 years old. Currently helping coach men's tennis team at Rowan College at Gloucester County. During the summer of 2015, I privately instructed a 10 year old kid who wanted to learn a variety of different sports. I can work with ages 5 and up. I've been told several times that i'm great with kids. It just comes naturally for meI started playing tennis my sophomore year of high school. Junior and Senior year I played 2nd singles. Senior year I won team MVP. I went to play for my community college team for 2 years, Rowan College at Gloucester County. Freshman year was a All American and National Champion. Sophomore year I was team captain. None of this matters though!During a session with me I would focus on everything including Forehand, backhand, serve, return of serve, volley and fitness training. For a forehand I would look for elevation, extension, turning shoulders, rotating hips, stepping into your shot. Backhand is your non dominate hand doing all of the work?, getting your racket lower then the ball, Bending your back knee, do you need to adjust your grip so you don't hit the ball long?. For serve I would make sure you have a consistent second serve. For volleys I would look to make sure you're keeping your racket up and have your feet set. Fitness I would do a lot of core work, medicine ball work, and speed and agility.
