What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is unique for each actor, depending on experience and goals. I will typically start with short 2-3 minute monologs as a jumping off point.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BFA from San Fransisco State Univ.
16 years as a professional actor and set designer, member of AEA, SAG & AFTRA
The last 27 years in educational and community theatre as an actor, director, producer, designer and playwright.

Private coaching $30.00/half hour (10 sessions for $250.00); $50.00/hour (10 sessions for $400.00)
How did you get started teaching?
Actors that I directed asked me to work with them privately.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with teens through adults.
I also created a theatre program for and by special needs children.

The many efforts of so many artists trying to keep it going during this horrible pandemic.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Come to it with honesty and a commitment to doing the work. The results will come.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If they are considering a career as an actor, the question is, "Is this the one thing in the world that I am driven to do?"
If the answer is "yes", go for it - no holds barred.
If the answer is "no", go do what ever that other thing is and then go play in the theatre - but play with passion.
