Voice And Acting Lessons, The Best In The East Coast, The Magic If, The Stanislavsky Method
About
My students get those jobs.
My techniques are derived from classic Italian vocal traning. In terms of acting, I have decades of Voice & Acting lesson teaching experience and have studied with the worlds leading teachers including the late, great Lee Strasberg of the Actor’s Studio and Lee Strasberg Theater Institute.
It is exciting to watch my students grow into confident aspiring professionals. With my professionals, it is rewarding when they get that job.
I enjoy teaching acting and vocal technique and creating in my students a thorough professional approach to these disciplines.
I teach each discipline separately and inclusive for voice students who need a voice technique and acting skills.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I conduct a lesson/evaluation and make a recommendation at the end of the lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an extensive background that can be found at:
joyofsingingnj.com. I trained in college and with Lee Strasberg and at HB studios in NYC and performed straight theater before performing classical and music theater. My performing of many styles of music including the blues, evolved into teaching in 1986 therefore I have a broad understanding of many styles of music and coach acting also in tandem with singing. I teach both disciplines separately and in combination with singing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For voice lessons I have a number of ways to study including 1 hr. 50 and 45 minute on a sliding scale pricing.
Acting lessons are $85. Per session that is at least one hr.
How did you get started teaching?
Olympia Dukakis was my first voice student in 1986.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all levels including beginners through professional actors and singers.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask what the lesson will consist of and state your goals asking the teacher how he or she will attempt to help you reach those goals. Ask the cost, duration of the lesson and how long you will need to study.
