I love anything food. I think food is medicinal and it should be utilized that way. It can cure all ailments while making you feel great in the process. Teaching to me is a means of spreading awareness. Hopefully my students will take what they learn, apply it and teach it as well.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Help them to feel more comfortable about choosing their ingredients and cooking them. Establish a connection to the food they eat. Teach them to be more confident with the food they cook.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 15 years experience in restaurant operations. I’ve consulted for restaurants in Jersey city and NY city. Managed several restaurants and have been cooking since I was 15. I’ve also travelled exstensively giving me the opportunity to sample and educate myself to all the different food out there.

1 lesson typically lasts about 2 hours. I charge per lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I’ve been teaching right out of college. Started with elementary math and English for an international school. Since then, I’ve taught and trained kids and adults.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types of students. Young and old and in between .
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You must feel comfortable with your teacher/instructor. Communication is essential. Ask a lot of questions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much do I want to learn? How will I apply it to my everyday life?
