I AM A D.E.A CERTIFIED DANCE EDUCATOR WITH OVER 20 YEARS OF DANCE TEACHING EXPERIENCE IN THE GREATER NYC AREA. ESTABLISHING ALMA DANCE ACADEMY, HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE AS I TAKE PRIDE IN MAKING MY STUDENTS AND THIER PARENTS A PRIORITY, ALLOWING THEM TO LEARN AS A GROUP AND GROW AS AN ARTIST.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I listen to what they want to learn, evaluate basic movement to see whta they can do and build on what they have shown me. We go through proper curriculm , progressions and aligment to assist the student great results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certifed dance educator with the Dance Educators of America, a Early Childhood Educator, owner and director of Alma Dance Academy of New Jersey.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard:
Children under 7: $20 1.2 hour due to age, private class
Children 7 and over: $25-30 p/hour
Teens ages 12-17: $30-40 p/hour
Adults 18+: $35-$45 p/hour
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching after I was injured during my pro career, I have been teaching since 2001.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all level students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had a student who was filled with stage fright, but after my pep talk, she looked so angelic and professional on stage... that she walked away with multiple awards.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask all the questions you feel in your gut to ask... always feel comfortable and welcomed in class.
