We believe that dance makes life better and that is what our instruction team strives to bring to all of our dance students. I have been teaching and dancing for over 10 years in different places and I decided to start Jersey City Ballroom in order to better help people learn how dancing can make their life more joyful and fun!

I love connecting with people and seeing how much fun they have when they learn a new step and dance it to music, and the sense of accomplishment they have as they improve their dance moves!

Frequently asked questions

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We prefer a customized approach for each student, so we usually recommend starting with a 30-minute Introductory Private Lesson ($25) which familiarizes you (or you and your dance partner) with the basics of partner dancing. If there is no style preference, we'll also introduce 2-3 dances so you can get an idea of the different dances. Afterwards, we give you the best recommendation possible based on the dances that you enjoyed, learning style and any specific events or goals that you have in mind.
