What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research. You want an instructor who is invested in your success but also has the qualifications to help you reach your goals in a safe manor. Dance can be physically demanding and there are safe, and not so safe approaches to acheiving your goals in felixibilty, strength, and performance enhancing movement. Be careful, stay educated. This is your body! That being said, in my opinion, Dance can be one of the most enjoyable ways to stay physically fit and active for both children and adults. Dance is different in the sense that it is an art form and you can get lost in the movement and forget that you are even exercising! Dance is beautiful.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask yourself: What goals do I have for myself or my child? We will do our best make make sure you achieve your goals!
