I am a master violin teacher. My specialty is working with advanced students who want to realize their full potential. My students have won competitions, scholarships, and orchestra positions all over the world. I also specialize in teaching adults who are coming back to the instrument after a long time. Born in South Korea, Sharon attended Yewon School in Seoul, South Korea. She moved to Vienna, Austria in 2001 and has studied under the legendary violin professor Dora Schwarzberg. Sharon enrolled as a freshman in the university as the youngest student at age of 15. She holds Bachelor of Music degree, Master of Art degree; Postgraduate certificate in Violin Performance from Universität für Darstellende Kunst Wien, and Artist Diploma certificate at Yale School of Music with full scholarship. Zen focuses on quality instructors who have studied music on a collegiate level with advanced degrees and extensive teaching experience. We offer examinations with the ABRSM, having students achieve distinction recognition, scoring the highest in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Our students have also been placed in NJ regional and state bands. Zen offers lessons for various instruments, as well as for aural training and music theory.
