Evelyn Estava Violinist
About
I am a master violin teacher. My specialty is working with advanced students who want to realize their full potential. My students have won competitions, scholarships, and orchestra positions all over the world. I also specialize in teaching adults who are coming back to the instrument after a long time. I have made studies in South America, New York, and Vienna, and have taught and performed all over the world. I also teach the viola. También doy clases en español.
The most gratifying thing about my teaching is seeing my students develop their craft with the tools I give them, and succeed at whatever their goals are. For more about my teaching philosophy, please visit my webpage https://www.evelynestava.com/teaching

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The typical process is that I meet the student, talk about what their goals are, and then listen to them play (if they have experience), or begin the process of putting the instrument in their hands.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have made studies at the Simon Bolivar Conservatory in Venezuela, at the Meadowmount School of Music and Killington Music Festival, and private instruction in New York and Vienna, Austria.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My fee for an hour's lesson is $100. I can teach half-hour lessons, but I don't really recommend it because they are not as productive.
How did you get started teaching?
I started as an assistant to my teacher at the Conservatory, then was assistant to Margaret Pardee, faculty at the Juilliard School, for 8 summers at the Meadowmount School and the Killington Music Festival.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students that range from absolute beginners, to professional musicians looking to prepare for auditions or improve their sound.
