Welcome to BP Music Lessons, home of the private lesson studios of Ben Cureton and Pam Urgiles for students of voice, piano, and drums. Collectively Ben and Pam have over 15 years of teaching experience working with students of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

As a student of BP Music Lessons, you will receive personalized private lesson instruction to help you develop your musical skills and talents. We understand that every student has different goals and aspirations for music and we strive to make everyone’s learning experience work for them to achieve their goals.

About our Teachers:

Ben Cureton- Drums & Piano

Ben Cureton is a dedicated drummer with over 20 years of experience in both orchestrated and improvisational styles. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Baylor University and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from Rutgers University. Ben's career includes extensive performance, recording, and private teaching over the past decade, focusing on drum set and jazz improvisation.

Pam Urgiles - Voice & Piano

Pam Urgiles is a dedicated music teacher and professional vocalist with a background in Classical vocal performance from Arts High School and a Bachelor's degree in classical performance from William Paterson University, with a minor in Piano. With over five years of teaching experience, Pam is well-versed in guiding students of all ages and abilities. She creates a supportive and encouraging learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs and aspirations, fostering growth and musical exploration. ​

    We tend to work with the students current goals. Some students want to learn a new skill while others are looking to become a professional musician. Instead of using a standard method of teaching, we try to personalize our students lessons to fit their goals.
    Our drum teacher, Ben, has a bachelors degree in classical percussion and a masters degree in Jazz Drums. Pam has a bachelors degree in Voice.
    Our current prices are as follows: 30 minute lessons: $40 45 minute lessons: $60 60 minute lesosns: $70
    We have worked with students as young as 4 to seniors. From absolute beginners to semi-professionals.
    Look for a teacher that you feel comfortable with. Learning music comes with a lot of trial and error and its essential that you are comfortable with making mistakes so your teacher can correct them and help you be your best self. Communicate your needs and evaluate if the teachers teaching style fits your learning style.
