About this pro

Words have always been a passion of mine. In highschool I was in AP spanish and english for all four years. During my junior and senior years of highschool, I became a T.A. and tutored the kids who weren't in my class. Along with one other peer we graded papers and even helped the children whose first language wasn't english find a connection between their native language and the one that they were learning. I graduated highschool with high honors mostly because of my work in these subjects. I am someone who believes that words are paintbrushes, all you need is a blank canvas and any of us could be artists.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I always given a short test, it isn't graded, it's really used for me to guage where the student is. no student is the same so i make sure that none of my lesson plans are the same either. they are customized to fit each individual.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

as i said i have tutored for over four years. not just in highschool but in college as well. i also tutor during the summer.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

my prices differ. I charge 125 for a 3 hour session. if you want less than 3 hours than its 30 dollars for a hour. anything over 3 hours and i add 20 dollars for each hour exceeded.

How did you get started teaching?

like i said i am not a certified teacher. i am a tutor.

What types of students have you worked with?

i have worked with kids ranging from special needs mentally to special needs physically

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

i am not a teacher im a tutor

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

i find it better to just ask, some of the students i worked with feel too much pressure when they are forced to think. they do better just saying what is in their head and working it out if need be.
