I use the art to tell stories explore self, and create changes in patterns. My feedback has become weaving the process and products of the art together to facilitate and witness the process of reclaiming our voices, self awareness, discovery, and ultimately the journey of the character.
I have already written about how talented this veteran artist is but the only way to truely appreciate this talent is joining him in person.
Now Theatre Workshop gave me an oppportuntiy to learn how to act and perform. It gave me the courage to stand infront of a crowd. Now Theatre is more than just acting and shows though. It help keep me off the streets by giving me something to do and look forward too.
The attention spent on growth was amazing. There is a family sense that motivates the participant to find enjoyment and therapy in the arts. The Now Theatre Workshops encompasses culture, rich history and comradery within the circle of fellow artists and the community at large. Just to be apart of the Now Theatre is truly a memorable thing.
I joined forces with Mr. Lewis Cole (the creator of NOW THEATRE) about two years ago. He just finished the success of the theatre play THE PIANO LESSONS by the late August Wilson. What I liked about working with NOW THEATRE was working with professionals. and working on projects audio, poetry, festivals and movies that we could actually hear and see at the end of of our productions. The best feeling in the world. We were taught the process for each. This made us all well rounded, and able to function in whatever genre
Introduction, including parents or guardian. Students will fill out one page application with all fees, expectations, students interest, class schedule, monologue/scene selection for following scheduled class. Conclude with a brief summary of all the aforementioned for clarity.Oh, one more very important point. I also introduce my Drama students to the three(WWW)W techniques when developing a character. And they are:Who,What, When, and Where! I actually meant 4W"s.
