They, along with all of the instructors, are skilled dancers and even better teachers. They are extremely patient and have the ability to break things down for each student in a way that they’ll understand–it’s truly individualized instruction. The studio offers everything from choreographing wedding dances to dancing in pro-am competitions with students, who have had huge success. I have been learning from and competing with Michael for 10 years and have experienced tremendous growth and accomplishment. They also have a variety of group classes and workshops, including fascinating, historically significant dances like the shim sham. Big Apple Ballroom parties are a blast, with mini classes followed by general dancing, awesome showcases, and fun themes. The other students are friendly, welcoming and, above all, supportive of each other. It’s like a second home to me. I wholeheartedly recommend Big Apple Ballroom." Read more
