I have been teaching throughout NJ for over 20 years. I am certified by NJDTA as well as having a BA IN Communication Arts and a minor in dance/musical theatre. We are home of a National Championship Award Winning Dance Team that also performs locally throughout the year. We offer a TINY DANCERS combo classes, each month with classroom format based on a different theme. We offer classes for 2 1/2- adult. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
They come in to register, fill out registration form, holds harmless, and release. They get their first class for free, we give them all the info they need on shoes, attire, and class set up. They get their first class for free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
i have danced since I was 5 in tap, jazz, ballet, and then hip hop. I continued my training as I got older in college, and would also go to NYC and take classes at broadway Dance Centerz. I am certified by NJDTA as a dance teacher. I continue my education and growth, as it also helps my students. I have done numerous plays and musicals and also danced competitively for 8 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Registration for dance is 20.00/30.00 for acro. An hour class is 17,00 but discounts are given as classes are added (example: 2 1/2 hours is 30.00). Siblings get a 2.00 discount off their class rate.
How did you get started teaching?
i was a classroom assistant as a teenager and showed the ability and the knowledge to continue as a a teacher. I was also very in tune to kids, especially little ones, as well as being able to control a classroom while teaching proper technique.
What types of students have you worked with?
i have worked with students ages 2 1/2- adult, kids with special needs, Autism, and Down’s syndrome.

i am currently doing private lessons with a little boy who is 4 who can not speak and signs. We are working on not only behavior in a classroom setting but also coordination and
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you are a rec student, make sure you are in a comfortable setting and enjoying yourself. If you strive for company or team, let that be known. Ask what is required to get to that point.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Are they giving what is expected of themselves as students? Are they approaching it in a respectful manner?
