A brief sit down with a new student is always encouraged, to discuss short term and/or long term goals and create a curriculum for getting the dancer what they need.

20 years of training in street dance, as well as modern and ballet. Childhood education, choreography techniques, elements of composition, human anatomy, dance history, and various other art forms all contribute to the education methods I've developed for my classes.

Have a good grip on what you're looking for, and be careful to do your research on teachers. Many people who dance seek to gain money by teaching without putting in the time to learn how to educate. While sometimes this is harmless, you are maximizing your investment in yourself by hiring someone who understands how to break down concepts for you.  You are also looking for someone who understands the human body and will give you work that will develop strong skills within you without damaging your body in unnecessary ways. Hire teachers ! Not dancers!
