What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Start with split step used by all professional players to begin movement to hit all tennis balls. Then I teach the same modern techniques you will see on TV. Powerful accurate serves use the kinetic chain from the ground up to the racquet head. These teaching techniques can transfer the child to a top tennis player.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Initially trained by Billy Jean King.& and Dennis VanDerMeer. I am a PTR Certified Instructor. Joined Princeton Tennis Program as Instructor. Then became Girls Tennis Coach for Trenton Catholic Academy. Later created a successful Boys Tennis Team at TCA. Coached 16 years until TCA closed in 2023.

How did you get started teaching?
As new new college graduate of University of Nebraska, I joined Goodyear Training Program. I created the Goodyear Tennis Team as President and Tennis Pro. Later I moved to New Jersey. There I was hired by the Princeton Tennis Program as a teaching Pro.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages of children an adults. These were beginners, intermediates and advanced. I joined Trenton Catholic Academy as girls tennis coach. I took beginning girls with no experience and made them into winning High School tennis players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The 2024 US Open tennis tournament. This was especially beneficial for Thrive Charter School girls as all the matches could be found with Spanish announcers.

How good the want to be and are they willing to train to become a top player.
