Instructor is a Juilliard School dance graduate and an MFA candidate at University of the Arts with extensive training, performing, teaching and Choreography experiences internationally in the US, new Zealand, South Korea and China.
Provide all-level Ballet, Modern, Contemporary technique classes, as well as Strech and Strengthing, Choreography, Improvisation, Body-Conditioning classes to adults.
Individualized curriculum and judgement-free class environment, with a balance of encouragement and fun-challenges. Students will leave the class recognizing their accomplishment and their potential for improvement.
Instructor is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
I love learning about my students and helping them utilize the knowledge that they learned in dance classes to find more joy their daily lives.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I facilitate a conversation with them before class to understand what their goal is, what their past experience is with dance or movements. From there, I’ll be creating a class structure for the student specifically for their needs.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Learning to dance isn’t JUST about training to do a spectacular trick. It is about connecting with the body and the innerself, awakening the passion and power within the body, integrating the mind, body and soul to live a healthier and happier life. We train the body to be strong, and we also look beyond the shape of the body to its potential for aesthetics that can make a difference to the daily life.
