About
ZplaySchool is a children’s enrichment community in New York, NY, located at 211 West 80th St on the Upper West Side. The program emphasizes play-based, hands-on learning rooted in a whole-child philosophy and guided by child development and social-emotional learning. Offerings include playgroups for ages 1–4 and enrichment classes for ages 3 and up, covering music, art, chess, math, Russian language, cooking, and museum tours.
Seasonal programs feature ZPlay IMpower Camp (ages 4–12), a Summer Program for kids ages 6–9, a Sewing Summer Program (ages 8–13), Summer Karate Classes (ages 5–12), and a “Mommy & Me” Russian Playgroup (ages 1–2). Instruction is delivered by a multidisciplinary team that includes early childhood educators, a karate/martial arts coach, a chess coach, and visual and performing arts instructors.
ZplaySchool is founded and directed by educator and community organizer Marina Zurakhinsky, who has over 20 years of experience designing and leading programs for children and families. The team brings diverse expertise to support curiosity, creativity, connection, and confidence while helping children build skills, friendships, and a strong sense of self.
