Hi there! I'm a concert violinist who holds a Masters from Juilliard and Bachelor's from the Cleveland Institute of Music. My goal is to teach people the most relaxed way to play, meaning that each student and lesson is extremely indiviualized. I teach anywhere from elementary school kids to adults. I teach beginners as well as proficient students of all ages. I help the student find their own sound and develop good technical approaches based on the individual's current abilities.

I teach not just the violin but music. I provide context. I teach some music theory and music history. I think it helps to understand what you are playing and where it came from. I have degrees in composition and music theory as well as undergraduate degrees in economics and philosophy. Also, I really emphasize sound. I think it's so important whether you're learning the violin at 6 or 60. Sound is so magical; it surrounds and stimulates us. You can feel the violin vibrate when you play it! I love the challenge of figuring out what will help different types of people understand the music and learn the instrument. Teaching both kids and adults...
