Danny Kovacs is a professional actor, with over 30 years experience in film, theatre, commercials and industrial acting work. He has been a member of SAG/AFTRA and Actors Equity since 1987.

Danny has been teaching acting off and on for over 25 years. His roots are in physical theatre, as well as a deep knowledge of the evolution of method acting, and he is well versed in classical theatre. He was formally trained at University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and has a professional acting career that includes dozens of film and stage roles, ranging from slapstick comedy to intense drama.

Mr. Kovacs is passionate about acting as a wholistic art form that is useful in all aspects of life. He approaches the role of acting teacher with joy and respect, embracing the rich history of acting, and understanding it to be a deeply personal journey that is often synonymous with self realization and personal growth.

"I have found that acting technique is deeply intertwined with understanding and appreciating what makes one unique as an actor, but also one's personal and intuitive relationship with the material being performed. My gift is my ability to provide a safe space for my students to find and learn to trust those acting choices that make their work personal and authentic."

It is a continual process of learning and exploring. Still fun after all these years.
